Visiting the website
The website is hosted by Cloudflare. To deliver its pages and protect it against attacks, Cloudflare processes technical data such as your IP address, your browser and the pages you request. These logs are kept for a few days.
Cookies
The website sets one cookie, astera_lang, which remembers your language for a year. Cloudflare may set a technical cookie that protects the website against automated traffic. YouTube, Vimeo and Spotify can set their own cookies when their players load. You can refuse or delete cookies in your browser settings. The website still works without them, but it will not remember your language.
Videos and music
Videos come from YouTube and Vimeo and only load when you start one; YouTube videos play in its privacy-enhanced mode. On the album page, the Spotify player loads only when you press play. These services then receive your IP address and technical data, may set cookies and handle the data under their own privacy policies: Google, Vimeo and Spotify.
Links to other websites
Links to social networks, streaming services, ticket offices and other websites take you there only when you click them. Their own privacy policies apply there.
Writing to us
When you write or call, we use your message and contact details only to answer you and, if we work together, to prepare the collaboration. Our email runs on Gmail by Google. We keep messages only as long as we need them.
Data outside Switzerland
Cloudflare, Google and Vimeo are based in the USA and are certified under the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, which Switzerland recognises as providing adequate protection. Spotify is based in Sweden.
Your rights
You can ask which data we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, and object to its use: write to ensemble.astera@gmail.com. If you disagree with how we handle your data, you can turn to the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC). If you live in the EU, the GDPR gives you the same rights and you can also complain to your country’s data protection authority. Under the GDPR, we process data for our legitimate interest in a secure, working website and to answer you when you write to us.
