Jeremy Bager

Bassoon

Jeremy Bager is an Anglo-Swiss bassoonist. He studied with Carlo Colombo in Lausanne and Giorgio Mondolesi in Zurich. He has been a member of the Gustav Mahler Jugendorchester, Schleswig Holstein Festival Orchestra and, from 2019 until 2022, academist with the Leipzig Gewandhausorchester.

Jeremy is Principal Bassoon of the Orchestre de Chambre de Lausanne between 2023 and 2025 and is a regular guest with the Cologne Gürzenich Orchestra, the Residentie Orkest in The Hague, the Iceland Symphony Orchestra, the Festival Strings Lucerne, the Basel Chamber Orchestra, as well as the opera houses in Frankfurt, Rome and Palermo. He has performed around the world from Singapore to Boston under the baton of renowned conductors such as Andris Nelsons, Daniel Harding, Vladimir Jurowski, Tugan Sokhiev and Herbert Blomstedt.

An avid chamber musician, he participates in various international festivals, including the British Isles Festival and the Verbier and Davos (Young Artist 2022) festivals. He regularly performs in recital with his brother, pianist Frederic Bager, and as a soloist with various Swiss orchestras. Jeremy has been generously supported by the Migros Kulturprozent from 2020 to 2022.
